I often wonder about life; how some peeople see a series of unrelenting tragedies; how others are as mindful of life as a they would be a sack of beans and still others may gleam the nuanced and slight comedies in life. As a example i submit my late sunday evening; homeward bound at a light preparing to make a left turn once the light turned green. The woman in from of me suddenly remembers that she left her cell phone in the adjacent gas station and like a true trouper: slams her car into reverse and hits the gas to retrieve her missing (?) phone. the results are a combination of physics, comedy and human nature.

Well the physics part is straight forward..two solid objects can not occupy the same space at the same time on the same dimensional plane..resulting in her vehicle riding up over the hood of my car
and causing a moderate amount of damage. Needless to say i was less than thrilled by the new body work done to my car; such is life.

Here is the comedy... it hapened next to the gas station that she misplaced her cell phone and its the major meeting point for all of the area cops for their coffee breaks and refueling. So as i attempt to call 911 (cell phones are useful after all) several squads which were already in the area started congregating at the crash site finally two police for the area that the crash had occured showed up. say 5 minutes from crash to this point in time.

now for the semi tradgey... i produced my id and proof of insurance she (yes, a woman backed in to me while she was backing against the flow of traffic) produced her id and proof of insurance card alas her card had expired and she had turned the corner from it being an unfortunate incident into the crash becoming a legal issue. well at least she admitted into backing into me..now i have the age old question,,, how much of a hassle is my insurance going to be in dealing with this whole incident....oh well i'll find out soon enough.
